House Rules - Regio Venlo Floriade 2012 B.V.
These House Rules, including the general park regulations, have been drawn up to make your stay, and that of other visitors and participants, at Floriade 2012 as pleasant as possible. The management and staff of Regio Venlo Floriade 2012 B.V.(hereinafter referred to as Floriade 2012) would ask you to please take note of these terms & conditions and comply with the provisions thereof. By entering the Floriade site you agree to the park regulations. Any violation of the park regulations can be reason to expel you from the park or – in certain cases – report you to the police.
1)PARKING
- a)The statutory traffic regulations and signs apply on the car park at Floriade 2012. In addition there are specific rules:
The speed limit on the park site is 10 kph;
You must obey the instructions of our parking attendants at all times;
Moving bollards or cones in any manner whatsoever is prohibited;
Parking your car at any place other than that assigned to you by the parking attendants is prohibited. You may park your car only in the car park designated for that purpose;
If you fail to observe the traffic regulations and/or instructions despite notice, Floriade 2012 reserves the right to have your car removed from the site at your risk and expense. - b)Floriade 2012 advises you to lock your car securely and not to leave valuables behind.
- c)Floriade 2012 accepts no liability in the event of theft and/or damage caused by vandalism or damage to your car caused by acts of God and/or other exceptional circumstances.
- d)Should you suffer damage to your car, you must report it to the employees of Floriade 2012 before leaving the car park, see article 14 A.
- e)You park your car in the car park at your own risk.
- f)If you park your car outside the designated car park, that can cause congestion in parking traffic. In that case, the authorities will remove your car at your risk and expense.
- g)You must not leave animals in your car; dogs must be taken to the kennels on a leash
- h)Holders of parking subscriptions have no priority and no guarantee of any (firm) parking space: full is full.
- i)Cycles / mopeds must be placed in the racks provided for that purpose.
2)ADMISSION TICKETS
- a)Access to the Floriade site is permitted only upon showing a valid admission ticket or an invitation to an event being organized in the park.
- b)Access to the Floriade site is via the entrance gates provided for that purpose and after showing your admission ticket to one of our stewards. You must keep your admission ticket on you during your visit to Floriade 2012 and show it to Floriade staff on request.
- c)The right to admission ends on leaving the park.
- d)Unauthorized persons are prohibited from entering and staying on the Floriade site outside opening times.
3)ANIMALS AND PLANTS
- a)Dogs (with the exception of guide- and assist-dogs) and other pets are not permitted in the park. Floriade has kennels at its disposal where you can leave your dog in good hands free of charge.
- b)All animals in the park are wild animals; please do not feed, touch or bother them.
- c)Touching flowers, plants, trees and/or other exhibition material is prohibited.
4)REFUSE
- a)Refuse must be deposited in the refuse bins provided for that purpose. The Floriade staff will try to keep the park as clean as possible. We seek your cooperation.
5)FIRST AID / EMERGENCY RESPONSE
- a)Floriade has a number of certified first-aiders and emergency response personnel at its disposal. In the event of an accident or disaster, you must follow the instructions of the Floriade personnel at all times.
- b)Should you notice an accident or disaster yourself, please report it to a Floriade employee immediately and/or contact the Floriade reception as quickly as possible or call externally (077-3998130). Every exhibition pavilion and catering facility has mobile phones at its disposal, as well as the internal phones installed in the park. The employee will contact the first-aider and/or first responder.
- c)There are two first aid posts situated in the park.
- d)An AED (automatic external defibrillator) is available in every restaurant.
6)SAFETY
- a)You must obey the safety regulations shown on signs, or instructions given by Floriade staff, completely and immediately.
- b)Visitors must confine themselves to exhibition spaces, paths, plazas and the designated picnic areas.
- c)Entering the park with skates, scooters, segways or other vehicles (except wheelchairs, invalid scooters, walking frames or prams) is prohibited.
- d)Possession or carrying of weapons or other objects likely, in the judgement of the management, to represent a threat, such as knives, chains and the like, on the Floriade site is strictly prohibited. The management reserves the right to confiscate such items and to expel the owner of such items from the park, if necessary in cooperation with the police and/or security service.
- e)Consumption of alcohol or tobacco products is prohibited for persons under 16 years of age – we may ask for identification.
- f)Creating unnecessary noise and playing radios etc. is prohibited.
- g)Use of mobile phones is not permitted in indoor areas or queues, as well as in and around theatre and entertainment locations.
- h)Smoking is prohibited on the whole Floriade. Only on the terraces of the restaurants smoking is allowed.
7)ADMISSION
- a)Depending on the various events, the opening and closing times are shown at the main entrance and on the website www.floriade.nl.
- b)Bringing alcoholic beverages with you into the park is prohibited.
- c)At its own discretion, the management is entitled to put and keep any element of an event or part of the park out of operation without that conferring any right to restitution of (part of) the admission price.
- d)Persons under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or dealing in or in possession of drugs, will be denied admission to the park without refund of admission charges or other costs incurred.
- e)Physical or verbal violence, abuse vis-à-vis visitors and Floriade employees or other undesirable conduct in breach of the peace on the Floriade site will not be tolerated. Nor will vandalism of property belonging to guests or Floriade 2012 be tolerated. Persons responsible for such behaviour will be expelled from the park immediately. The police and/or security services may be called in such cases.
- f)Entering or staying on the Floriade site with a (partly) bare chest is prohibited. Shoes must be worn at all times.
- g)Displaying of insulting and/or offensive statements, or wearing same on or under clothing, is prohibited. Persons responsible for such behaviour will be expelled from the park immediately. The police and/or security services may be called in such cases.
- h)Based upon Dutch law and legislation, visitors are asked to cooperate with any security screening and/or searching of (hand) baggage at the request of the security services and/or police. Should they refuse to cooperate here, visitors may be denied access to the Floriade site with no right to refund of admission charges.
8)USE OF BUILDINGS AND EXHIBITION SPACES
- a)You enter buildings and exhibition spaces entirely at your own risk. Floriade shall not be responsible for damage and/or injury through use of elements of events (for example a gondola).
- b)The installations and event elements, such as internal means of transport like the mini-train and gondola, are available within the context of normal use.
- c)You must obey the instructions shown on the relevant signs or issued by Floriade employees.
- Should you wilfully disobey instructions and rules of use, the operating personnel and/or Floriade employees may deny you use of an event element without refunding admission charges.
- d)Visitors may picnic at the places designated for that purpose. Consumption of food and drinks brought with you in restaurants, queues, exhibition spaces and terraces is prohibited.
9)USE OF PLAYGROUNDS
- a)Use of playground equipment, among other things, is entirely at your own risk. Floriade shall not be responsible for damage and/or injury caused by inappropriate use.
- b)If you notice a defect and/or damage on any playground equipment, please report it to a Floriade employee.
10)(TELEVISION) RECORDINGS
- a)Television recordings may take place in the park at any time. By entering the Floriade site you accept the possibility that you and/or your family members may be filmed or photographed. Should you want to rule out that risk as far as possible, we would advise you to avoid locations where filming or photography is taking place.
- b)Making recordings for commercial purposes is prohibited without the prior written permission of Floriade 2012. This applies to photo, video, film, sound and other recording equipment. Should you be found recording, the equipment will be confiscated for the duration of your stay on the Floriade site with the urgent request to delete the recordings. Should you refuse to cooperate, you will be denied any further stay on the Floriade site without refunding of admission charges.
- c)Filming and sound recording of shows without written permission is prohibited.
- d)Film crews, photographers and press must report in at the main entrance to the Floriade site.
- e)The Floriade will exercise its rights against any violation whatsoever of its intellectual property rights, including copyright. The intellectual property rights of participants must be respected, which means that publication and duplication of protected works without written permission is prohibited.
11)SUPERVISION
- a)Children up to the age of 16 may not visit the Floriade unaccompanied.
- b)Parents and attendants, or those in charge from any institution, are responsible for those visiting the park under their supervision.
- c)Parents and attendants, or the institution concerned, are liable for any damage caused by those entrusted to them.
12)CAMERAS
- a)We would point out that visible and concealed video surveillance has been installed to protect your and our safety and property.
13) OTHER PROVISIONS
- Organizing as well as performing independent (guided) tours in the park is prohibited.
14)LIABILITY
- a)Floriade 2012 shall only be liable for damage and/or injury inflicted on you or on your property to the extent such damage has been caused through malicious intent or gross negligence on the part of Floriade employees, or by persons whose actions are for the account and risk of the Floriade.
- b)Any liability of the Floriade 2012 for damage and/or injury through use of and/or participation in Floriade event elements is expressly denied.
15)REPORTING DAMAGE
- a)Goods and installations in the park are carefully checked and monitored. Should you nonetheless suffer damage and/or injury, you must report same immediately to one of the employees of Floriade 2012.
- b)Should you notice situations that may lead to damage and/or injury, please inform a Floriade employee of them.
- c)Floriade 2012 accepts no liability for damage and/or injury if reported after leaving the Floriade site.
- d)Floriade 2012 shall not be liable for damage caused by situations of force majeure.
- e)You can report any complaint to the management of Floriade 2012.
16)ADVERTISING AND OFFERING OF GOODS AND SERVICES
- a)Advertising on the site and in the park, conduct of public surveys, censuses and collections and any offering of goods & services are prohibited.
- b)If you are found to be in breach of the above, you will be asked urgently to desist from your activities and any advertising material may be confiscated for the duration of your stay on the Floriade site. Should you refuse to cooperate, any further stay on the Floriade site will be denied without refunding of admission charges.
17)COMPLIANCE WITH TERMS & CONDITIONS
- a)If the form of the breach, in all reasonableness, requires same and to protect the safety of visitors and employees, the management reserves the right to deny admission to the Floriade site to anyone not complying in full with the park regulations or to expel them from the Floriade site. Denial of admission to, or expulsion from, the site shall not constitute any right to refund of the admission price or any other compensation for damages.
- b)In order to protect the safety of visitors and Floriade employees, the management reserves the right, if the facts and/or circumstances in all reasonableness require same, to hand over persons not behaving in accordance with the park regulations to the police and/or security service.
- c)The authorities or authorized employees may order security screening and/or searching of (hand) baggage.
- d)In all situations not mentioned explicitly above, the Floriade management and/or the authorities shall decide on the appropriate action.
