Mission

Floriade 2012 is a unique, exciting and active experience, based on the contribution of horticulture to our quality of life, in combination with the regional culture and regional qualities of the landscape.
Visitors, young and old, will be inspired by the provision of innovative and authentic information which will be presented in an appealing and memorable way. This information will have a personal relevance for everyone who visits Venlo for this event.

Vision

The vision of Floriade 2012 is to realize the association with 'quality of life.' Floriade stands for innovation and the sustainable relationship between man and nature. Floriade teaches us how to return to nature and how to learn from it.

Floriade 2012 will help raise consumer awareness of the influence of trees, plants, flowers, vegetables and fruit (the horticultural industry) on our quality of life.

Positioning

Floriade 2012 is a green experience. An educational day out, aimed at increasing awareness of the influence horticulture has on our quality of life.

Our pledge is that a visit to Floriade 2012 will help you to interactively experience how you as a person are connected to nature (trees, plants, flowers, fruit and vegetables) and what kind of sensation this contributes to your quality of life – all in an enjoyable and educational way.

You will become aware of the role of horticulture within your daily life: in your sense of wellbeing, in the influence of the environment on the quality of life, in your development and education, in the cultural influences that surround us and in the sustainable relationship you have with nature.

The pledge is the experience at the park. The commitment of the event, the anticipated experience that the visitor will enjoy, plays a leading role in the realization of the event at the park.
